Funky Monkey Fruit Snacks - A Review and a Giveaway!

As the mother of a picky toddler, I’m always looking for healthy snacks for my daughter.  Funky Monkey snacks are a great option for healthy, yet fun snacking.  Funky Monkey snacks are 100% freeze-dried fruit with absolutely no sugar added.  Freeze-drying maintains nearly all of the flavor and nutrients found in fresh fruit.  The snacks are made in Brazil, near where the fruit is grown so it is captured at the peak of freshness.  Freeze-dried fruit is more nutritious than regular dried fruit, as it retains nearly all of the nutrients versus 45% nutrient retention in regular dried fruit.  Additionally, their products are gluten-free, certified Kosher, and certified non-GMO.

They have a great selection of flavors, and our family enjoyed these crunchy morsels of real fruit.  My daughter loved the Pink Pineapple (pineapple/guava), and called it candy!  That’s always a plus in my book.  She didn’t care for the MangOJ (mango with orange juce); I think it was a little tart for her.  I really enjoyed it though!  All of the flavors have fun names that are appealing to children.  I love the fact that they are easy to “grab and go” and that they aren’t sticky when you eat them like some of the dried fruit snacks I have had before.  They definitely have a lot more flavor than dried fruit as well!  Little Miss and I both enjoyed the great crunch they had. 

I also love that they qualify as a raw food.  I'm always looking for things to take to the monthly raw potluck, and now I have an easy solution!  With seven fun flavors, I'm set for a while!  For those of you with children, they have some great activities on their website here!
